I am really nuts about traveling. I am working on seeing most of the
globe, but have as yet made a small start. As you can see from the
following areas I have traveled I am making progress! Of course my top
destinations are in space (eg Moon, Mars), but it is (as yet) a little
difficult to get there!!
- Travels to the lower 48 driving.
- India
- Sailing
- Baja California
(Mexico)
- England...I rather an englophile, and
have been there numberous times and really enjoy the climate, people,
architecture, etc.
- Scandinavia and Russia (see Frankies travel
page)
- A cruise
through the Panama Canal (from Ft. Lauderdale FL to Los
Angeles, CA), stopping in several Carribean and central American
countries.
- Bicycling
from Fairbanks to Seattle
- A cruise
around the world for our honeymoon.
- Hawaii. I've been there 7 times now:
- with Laura Powell (my girlfriend at the time) (1982?)
- with my folks and sisters (1984), where Dad rented a sailboat
and we sailed around the islands
- with Frankie in 1996
- with Frankie Christmas 1998. Frankie wrote up diaries
about our trips.
- In the summer of 2004 Frankie, Richie and I sailed from Kodiak
to Hawaii with the Acrux
- Sailed around all the islands, stopping on Oahu, Kaui, Maui,
Molokai, the big island, Lanai, etc over the summer of 2005, before
sailing to Midway and back to Alaska on the Acrux
